Volunteer

Volunteers are integral to our foundation. 

Volunteering with us is not only a great way to give back to the community, but also a  great way to gain new skills and make valuable connections. We welcome individuals  of all backgrounds and experience levels to apply.  

Below you will find a list of volunteer opportunities that are typically available. If you  find one of interest, complete the application form below.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

  • Mentors

    Through the mentoring area, the mentors work one-on-one with scholarship recipients to provide guidance, support and advice. Mentors may help students with academic planning, goal setting, and other life skills.
    Time commitment: Ad hoc or as often as you can offer.

  • Plan and support an event:

    Event planning and support involves helping the foundation organize and run events such as fundraisers, scholarship award ceremonies and other events that help raise awareness about the foundation and its mission.
    Time commitment: approx. 2-3 hours on an ad hoc basis

  • Fundraisers

    Fundraisings help the foundation raise money to support its mission, whether by organizing a fundraising event or reaching out to potential donors.
    Time commitment:

  • Marketing and Communications:

    This involves helping the foundation create and distribute marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers and newsletters.

  • Administrative Assistants

    The role of the administrative assistants is critical in the day-to-day operations of our foundation. Your duties may include:

    - Answering phone calls and emails from scholarship applicants and other members of the public.
    - Scheduling meetings and appointments.
    - Creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, and other materials.
    - Organizing and maintaining files and records.
    - Assisting with special projects and events.
    - Processing donations
    - Providing support to other team members.

    Time commitment:

  • Volunteer Guest Speakers

    as a guest speaker, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with our scholarship recipients and other students. You can speak about your career, your field of expertise, or any other topic that you feel would be beneficial for the students. This will help them to know more about their field of interest, to understand the career opportunities and to make a better decision about their future.
